I am a qualified Personal Trainer with a Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training qualifying with NASM – National Academy of Sports Medicine. I also hold a qualification in Optimum Performance Training and TRX Suspension Training.
When working with a new client, I would have a discussion with them to find out more about what they are looking for. At the same time I would ask them to do an overhead squat assessment and maybe some other fitness tests, to take a look at their posture and any restrictions or issues the client may have.
Following the discussion and the assessment(s), I would formulate a plan and write session(s) to facilitate any postural or corrective action needed, to build a good strong foundation to be able to workout on. Next I would look to continue to work with the client to help them on their fitness journey. This maybe for example, incorporate some cardio exercises, core conditioning, strength and resistance training, nutrition guidance or various other programs.

During Lockdown I have been coaching a number of clients in local parks on a 1-2-1 basis and also doing outruns with exercises and challenges en route.
As we move out of Lockdown, I hope to also be able to coach groups, maybe a regular bootcamp, coach at clients homes, or in my own personal gym.
Below is one of my clients Amelia who I meet in 2020 as she was a participant in one of my couch to 5K running programs. Amelia has recently started working with me in 2021, to improve her running, whereby she is getting ready for running the 2021 Reading Half Marathon and also is keen to improve her core strength, upper body strength and her endurance.
I have built a fitness plan for Amelia, incorporating some regular runs, some outruns with bootcamp style exercises en route and the bulk of our sessions are pt sessions in the park working on core conditioning and resistance. Amelia, is already enjoying a much stronger core, greater upper body strength and increased endurance.
