Hi all, welcome to my blog. It’s about my journey into the unknown of training to run the Virgin London Marathon 2011. It’s been a good week as I’ve managed to get 3 good runs in, as my training starts to pick up. On Saturday I ran 10.25 miles then on Monday and today I ran 7.4 miles before work.
I was pleased today as I ran the 7.4 miles 8 minutes quicker than I did on Monday. Part of this I put down to starting to overcome an injury to my adductor muscle in my left leg, picked up playing football. In a bid to mount a serious attempt at this marathon I have now given up playing football to reduce risk of injury.
